Forever the Sickest Kids: How they got their start, How they met, and the fun mistakes along the way

Last Sunday, Forever the Sickest Kids performed at the House of Rock, jamming for all their local fans. The six-man band, out of Dallas, was formed in 2006 and is comprised of: Austin Bello, bass; Kyle Burns, drums; Johnathan Cook, vocals; Kent Garrison, keyboards; Marc Stewart, guitar and Caleb Turman, guitar. Turman went on PureVolume. com one day and accidently clicked the mouse causing them to get a music front page and pay $350 – they did not even have a song or the money. “When it happened I was totally freaking out,” said Truman. “I had to rush and call a friend to help us write and record a song in two days.” Truman said the song’s name was “Hey Brittany,” about a girl he met in college. Listening to ‘Primal Sky’ is an escape to a different world

If you ever wanted to experience a different culture without actually having to purchase a plane ticket and travel, listen to the CD “Caballero Del Mar” by Primal Sky. Coming from a beginning Spanish student’s perspective, I can honestly say I did not understand many of the lyrics, but the rhythm and flow of the beats represented what the artists were trying to convey. Local ‘Punks’ honor late DMC student

Benefit Rock Show in remembrance of Del Mar College Student

In the early morning hours of February 15, DMC and the DMC Journalism Department lost a colleague, friend and member of their academic family. Richard “Richie” Gonzalez – who died a few days short of his 21st birthday – was a journalism major and a contributing writer for the Foghorn. His love of music led him to write articles focusing on alternative styles of music including punk and power pop. Full story

Bryant Park embarked on the last time that brilliance would commence under the white tents and Mercedes Benz Fashion Week will be nestling into its Lincoln Square venue next season. The label McQ did not received adoration the week of February 15. The tent was silent, the lights did not glisten off the chic clothing, the fanfare of music did not play and the models did not walk.
