Just when I thought I could not love Matt Damon any more as an actor, I saw “Green Zone.”
The dynamic duo of Matt Damon and director Paul Greengrass (“Bourne Supremacy” and “Bourne Ultimatum”) combined Damon’s acting and Greengrass’ genius to create an on-the-edge-of-your-seat action/thriller movie.
While Yahoo! Movie critiques gave the movie a B, Yahoo! Viewers gave it an A. I give it an A+.
Mixing lies and betrayal in the heat of war in Baghdad, the movie is action-packed and suspenseful and gives a glimpse of the horrors of war and deception, and what the two combined to do to a country and an army.
“Green Zone” is a movie you must pay attention to in order to follow and fully understand the ending, so turn off your phones and use the bathroom before going in to the theater.
The directors did an excellent job making sure the audience would not be confusing as long as they watch attentively.
That should not be hard to do as the movie will have your eyes glued to the screen. Yes girls, it is a total guy movie, unless you just happen to really enjoy action movies.
There is not even a hint of a romance in the entire movie and barely any funny moments.
However, it is not a typical, drawn-out, gory war movie.
Men will definitely enjoy it, while I think women may too, if they give it a chance.
I really like few movies and walked away from this one in love. “The Green Zone” is so good that I would see it again . . . and again. My only complaint is that there are no shirtless scenes with Matt Damon (sorry girls).
