For most actors and actresses, winning an Oscar signifies a high point in their life – it’s a milestone that every actor or actress strives for knowing the prestige that comes along with it.
For 45-year-old actress Sandra Bullock, her role in 2009’s “The Blind Side” won her the ever-so-coveted honor as best female actress
However, immediately afterwards, she discovered the tragic news that her husband, 40-year-old Jesse James, had reportedly been cheating on her.
The news surfaced when James’ girlfriend, Michelle “Bombshell” McGee, announced that she and James had an 11-month affair. Even worse, McGee was reportedly dating James at the same time Bullock was filming “The Blind Side.”
As scandalous as that sounds, we must wonder what James has to say about these accusations.
James formerly apologized for his affair with McGee and admitted that he deserved any negativity that came his way for his actions. Although he did cheat, his honesty in the whole situation is still refreshing.
He apologized to both Bullock and his children for any embarrassment he has caused them and begged for their forgiveness just like any man stuck in the doghouse would do.
Despite his apologies, Bullock has moved out of their home (which is exactly what I would have done) and is currently staying with family.
She is remaining and strong and announced that she has no desire to save her marriage with James and has since moved back into her pre-marital home.
Bullock just seems to have become victim to the Hollywood Marriage Curse, laden with lies, betrayal and scandals. Both she and James are human and, like anyone else, are capable of making mistakes, no matter how glamorous and picture-perfect their lives appear to be on the outside.
They are now both forced to end their short-lived five-year marriage and go their own ways.
