As the DMC Spring Semester comes to an end, many students look forward to a relaxing summer until Fall classes start back up in August, but money is always an issue for everyone, especially college students.
An intelligent way to gain quick cash or money for the next semester is to sell used textbooks to the bookstores or to online websites.
Liberal Arts major Susan Beltran, 18, said, “It helps out a lot. We have bills to pay. It’s gas money.” Students also benefit from this trade by freeing their houses or vehicles of piles of unused books.
“I think if you do it online, you will get more money than if you go to the bookstores,” said Beltran.
Selling at bookstores in Corpus Christi is a quick and easy way to regain money, but if one has time to wait a few weeks, then online selling is pretty beneficial.
There are thousands of books already available online, so it’s nearly guaranteed that they will accept your books whereas the bookstores in town sometimes don’t.
Some online stores allow book credit so you can even purchase your books from that site without ever spending anything.
The majority of the online stores do offer free shipping so you are could make more money and not lose out on added charges.
How students decide to sell back their books is up the individual, but like the Nike ads say: Just do it.
