*H-E-B brand Spicy Jalapeno Sausage = $3.49

*Shrimp (From the fish market/peeled & devained) = $4.60 lb (50-60 shrimp)

*H-E-B brand Fettuccine pasta = $1

*Cheesy Ragu Classic Alfredo sauce = $1.84

*French bread (Fresh bread made daily in front of store) = $1.19

*Hill Country Fare No-Stick cooking spray = $1.48

(Utensils/appliances: pan, pot, flat metal tray, fork, stove, oven)

Instructions:

Get everything together and fill the pot halfway with hot water and set the heat to medium high. Pre-heat the oven to 375 degrees, place the sausage on a flat metal tray and pop it into the oven for about five minutes. By this time the water should be boiling and ready for the fettuccini. The pasta should take about 10 to 15 minutes depending on how much is used.

Next, put a pan on and set the temperature to medium and when the pan gets hot, spray cooking spray evenly on the pan. Put the desired number of shrimp in the pan and cook for about five to eight minutes, depending on the size, flipping occasionally. The sausage and shrimp should be finished around the same time. Cut the sausage into round slices.

When the pasta is ready, drain and mix in the Alfredo sauce and add the sliced sausage and shrimp. Cut the French bread into slices and lunch or dinner is served.

In 25 minutes or less, $16 meal can feed up to five people and there will be plenty of shrimp left over for something else.
