The Office of Student Leadership and Campus Life is now accepting nominations for the 2010 Del Mar College Hall of Fame.

"The Hall of Fame is a way for the college to recognize students for volunteer work and community service," said Grace Carreon, Student Leadership and Campus Life administrative assistant. "Students have an opportunity to enhance their resumes."

The Hall of Fame recognizes students who actively participate in extracurricular activities on and off campus. It also acknowledges students who have dedicated their time and talent and have provided leadership to their peers at DMC.

Anybody at DMC can nominate a student to the Hall of Fame, but in order to qualify, the student must have maintained a 2.5 GPA or better at DMC, must be enrolled in at least nine credit hours, and have a minimum of 30 credit hours or have completed one semester in a certificate program.

The prospective student must have attended DMC during the Fall and Spring semesters prior to the nomination. The student must also have participated in extracurricular activities while at the college.

Previous Hall of Fame winners are not eligible for nomination.

The deadline for nominations is Friday, Feb. 26 by 12:30 p.m. Nominations can be submitted in person to the Student Leadership and Campus Life Offices, Room 105 of the Harvin Student Center or Room 106 in the Coleman Center, West Campus. Nominations can also be made via email to gcarreo@delmar.edu. For more information, contact Carreon at 698-1279
