Special Teams can win or lose a game

10/12/10 12:14 PM

The San Diego Charger's offense is ranked #1 in the NFL. Their defense, which was expected to struggle, is surprisingly ranked #2. Yet their record stands at 2-3, with all the losses on the road. Why? Two words: Special Teams. In their three losses, they've given up a punt return for a touchdown, two kickoff returns for touchdowns, and have had three blocked punts, one returned for a touchdown, the other turned into a safety.

Philip Rivers, their quarterback, is an absolute force on offense. He is a definite MVP candidate. But they will not return to the playoffs unless they fix the special teams. Football is a team sport and Rivers is only one man. But do not be too worried: the Chargers have started 2-3 the past four years. And still made the playoffs.

Don't Burn aBible!

9/8/10 11:27 PM

Terry Jones could join a llist of infamous Americans if his plan succeeds. Jones, the pastor of a church in Gainsville, Florida, is hosting a ceremony to burn the Quran on the 9th anniversary of September 11th. Words cannot describe the hatred the man must have to defile someone else's religion like that. I don't have any problems with the Islamic religion, and i would never burn another religions Holy books. That is why we have freedom of religion in America, so we don't have to live in fear of another religion. Unfortunately, freedom of speech covers bible burning, so what they are doing is technically not illegal....

We love to hate Bieber

9/2/10 12:50 PM

It seems to me that we love to hate the rich and famous in America. It's true they don't really do anything great or something that benefits us at all, but is it still right right to hate them? The most hated celebrity I think is Justin Bieber. Yesterday was a "Hate Justin Bieber Day" on Youtube. Weeks before, people would visit random videos and post comments telling everyone to go watch a video of his on , then comment negatively on it, dislike it, and then flag it. I went on to his video and viewed the comments that were posted, and most were hilariously messed up (or preteen girls trying to defend him) All in all, these people were  trying to bring down Bieber, but all they were doing were making the views on his videos go up. Personally, I don't like him. At all. Most...
