Del Mar Ballroom Dance Workshop

The DMC Social Dance Club is providing free ballroom dance classes for Del Mar students.

A Ballroom Dance Workshop will be taught by Ed Salazar of Shiny Shoes Dance, every Saturday from Oct. 2 through Nov. 20. Classes will be held from 1 to 2 p.m. in the Gym's Multipurpose Room, East Campus.

According to Salazar, Shiny Shoes Dance's mission is to build a venue for ballroom dancing in Corpus Christi by providing opportunities to learn ballroom dance.

"Providing free classes for aspiring DMC students is another way of building the studio's mission statement," said Salazar.

The classes will teach students a variety of dances such as the Waltz, Swing, Cha-Cha and other classic dances.
