Working out is not easy. Working out has many components including dietary needs, weight lifting etiquette and general safety. Where do you find answers for questions about issues you’re not entirely sure about?
Google.com, Ask.com and About.com are just a few of the primary search engines that people use every day to get advice from or find answers about the who, what, where, when or why’s of fitness.
Here at DMC, the Foghorn staff members understand the need and desire to remain healthy, even though we are not all super health aficionados.
However, while working out, I realized I had a ton of questions that I could Google later, but then thought, what if we had a professional answer these questions?
Our Kinesiology staff agreed to answer questions for the entire student body to minimize the thousands of results you get with search engines.
However, the staff wants to remind students that we are not your physicians. Our faculty members will answer these questions to assist you, but also want you to remember that you should consult with your primary physician prior to beginning any fitness regimen.
Readers should also take the information here as general responses to general problems, not expert advice.
The Kinesiology Department and Foghorn staff members are excited to help you achieve your goals healthily and the right way.
